Screencast with key status tool

In the next days i will start produce screencasts only on a xubuntu-pc .
Well someone now Heathenx Screencasters. I like it very much. He use the tool key status monitor.
This is a very useful tool to show watchers what you doing with your mouse and which keys/shortcuts you use.

But don`t like the mouse buttons, so i create a new custom set using Inkscape. It is now more like an real and modern hardware i think. If you want to use this graphics, please fell free to download it directly here an put it into the png-folder:

The only problem is the german keyboard layout. Tobias Jakobs (from the GIMPforum.de) and i try to solve this but with some changes in the key-status file, but we cant get a good solution cause we are not programmers.

He added commandline option for delays.

My silly solution is, to rename some keys or save other png-graphics into the folder but it don`t work fully.

And we have the letters: Ö / Ü / Ä (the png`s are ready for it now)

This software is written in Phyton.

So !

Mich hat jetzt das Videofieber gepackt da ich mein Wissen zwar gerne weitergeben möchte aber keine Lust mehr habe alles mühselig aufzuschreiben.

Bester Onlinedienst, gerade für hochauflösende Grafktutorials, ist Vimeo.

Ziel ist hier einen Treffpunkt zu schaffen für deutschsprachige Videos über Programme wie: Gimp, Inkscape, Blender, Scribus, Open Office usw..

Wer dieser Gruppe beitreten möchte kann dies gerne tun, allerdings wird auch aktives mitmachen erwartet.

Es ist gar nicht so schwer etwas aufzunehmen.

COLORS !

Wow !
Today was a good day for inspiration! I play around only with colors and this is really cool.
No curves, no pixel nothing….only palettes, tables, shemes….
First the Gimp. You can create your own palettes here or extract it from a foto. Then you can use this in Inkscape too.

After that, i was searching in the web and find some cool sites. I really like the color sheme designer:

Well they are many more online tools in the web, but i like this one. You can ask Google about “color sheme” by yourself…

Next i found a color community ! What is that?

You can create you own palettes and download other ones as Gimp palette (.gpl) or many other files …cool!
